Lessons are offered on a first come first served basis, and are suited to the individual’s experience and maturity level. Lessons are offered throughout the week in group sessions, though private classes are available. A lesson begins with grooming and tacking your horse, and is approximately 1 hour long. Therefore, it is important to arrive at least 15 minutes early to prep your horse. If you are a new rider, there are many people at the barn who are willing to help out.
All monthly fees are due at the beginning of the month. Cash or cheque (made payable to Beth Nelson)
We are happy to say that right now our lesson program is at full capacity, with a growing waiting list of people wanting to start lessons. Consequently, starting as of June 1st, 2014, the following month-by-month payment/riding commitment will be in effect. Similar to a gym membership or other recreational activities, the riding program will require riding students to make full payment for the full month at their first lesson of the month. If they are not able to attend all of the lessons for any reason, the lessons will not be rescheduled or refunded. Hopefully this will encourage our students to attend all lessons which they have already prepaid for. If a student anticipates having to miss one or more lessons during any given month, he/she can either forfeit the spot for that month or pay for the full month to ensure his/her spot for the following month. If the barn has to cancel lessons for any reason it will notify the students as early as possible and will credit the cancelled lesson in the following month, or, refund the amount paid for the cancelled lesson.
Training is available depending on current workload at the barn.
